My name is Kayln Sharp. My husband Ronnie and I own and operate Sharps Marine Repair. We service and sell
Polaris Atvs, Pwcs, & snowmobiles. We have been in business since 1989. We have always enjoyed people and helping people
out. It was always such a joy to see people enjoy their machines; I think we got as much pleasure out of watching them as
they did riding. Our customers were customers when they came in the door, and friends when they left.
A few years ago, our daughter Chris from Texas introduced us to the Gourmet Gardens foods that are made down
the road from her. We absolutely fell in love with the product. We would have the jars shipped up to us and share them
with all of our friends. We were ordering quite often. One day the owners son said to me "what are you doing with
this stuff?" I said we were eating it, he said we ought to consider retailing it in our snowmobile shop. I thought about
it , mentioned it to my husband--he thought it was stupid. I said it probably is, but let's try it. I believe that was in
Feb of 1999 that we got our first shipment and have recently sold our 1,000th case. We still love every one of the items
we sell. People come into our store and immediately are offered a sample--that is all it takes--just one taste and you are
hooked.
A year ago in October another one of our dear daughter Chris' friends started a candle company. She said Mom,
you have got to try these candles--you have got to sell these candles in your shop. They are just the greatest candles!!!
So of course, we had to try these candles. Well we have probably sold close to 1500 of these candles in a year--I guess you
know we love these candles.
Chuck's candles are all hand poured--I went to watch them make the candles and was so impressed. I watched
the entire operation from wax--to a beautiful hand poured candle. These candles are just as fragrant on the bottom of
the candle as they are on the top. The amazing part was they would fill the whole house with fragrance, not just the
immediate 3foot area. In years past, I would buy a candle and then buy candle toppers to make them burn even (because
they always had a hole down the middle) these candles are double wicked, with zinc wicks (not lead). The double wick gives
them a nice even burn right to the bottom of the jar; There is no waste!!!
I might add my eldest daughter Kimberly Sue who lives in Philadelphia also sells these candles. Her candles are called
OLDE PHILLY COLONIAL CANDLES. She sells at big flea markets, and different shows. She does very well with them and has quite
a following. She is a fantastic saleswoman and outdoes herself with her charm. We all have a love of these wonderful candles.
Once you have them you just can't live without them.
The objective of our business is to provide a high quality product and reliable service for our customers. We hope you
will enjoy visiting our web site and using our products as much as we enjoyed providing them for you.
Our Employees
Our business is made up mostly of family members. There is me Kayln, my husband Ronnie, our son Richie, our daughter-in-law
Tammy, and Josh known as "the kid" is like our son.
You will most likely speak to Tammy on the phone or coming up to the counter. She will greet you with a smile and
a cheery hello. She is more like a daughter than a daughter-in-law--we just love her.
Ronnie, Richie & Josh are mostly out in the shop working on machines. You may find them though, in the showroom sampling
the gourmet goodies. We have a refrigerator in the showroom with samples, they are among my best customers. (ha-ha)
Then there is me, I am the singer, the dancer, the entertainer. I want everyone to have a good time while they
are here. Everyone needs to enjoy each day--and I plan to help them. There have been times when I have been paid
to stop singing--(ha-ha) We always try to have people leave with a smile.
